The Role

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Product Manager who is passionate about building core cloud-based platform infrastructure that would have impact across all major product lines of the company. This individual would be adept at working with variety of stakeholders in identifying key use cases and build a delivery roadmap for the same.
In this role, you will be expected to work extensively with both engineering and business leaders, as well as can clearly understand and articulate business strategy. You must be a high energy individual who can influence the team to execute at a consistent pace and who engages constantly with engineering and executives. Ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills.
Your day-to-day
+ Plan, build and launch cloud infrastructure to support variety of products
+ You will write specs, distill those in an execution plan, and define the roll-out strategy
+ You will interface with Product Managers for various product-lines to both identify requirements and articulate usage models
+ Develop, manage and communicate the milestones and roadmap to key stakeholders
+ Be responsible for ensuring operational performance, stability and resiliency of the platform
+ Understand the market Proofpoint products play in and anticipate future infra and platform requirements
+ Articulate the value proposition to sales engineering teams and customers
What you bring to the team
+ Bachelor’s degree, Masters is preferred; MBA is ideal.
+ 5+ years managing SaaS cloud offerings and/or platform SW for Enterprise customers
+ Can do attitude Able to maintain the delicate balance between quality, speed, user experience and customer expectations
+ Successful background in developing go-to-market strategies with senior level counterparts
+ Passion for building for products that matter in an industry
+ Very strong written communication skills
+ Ability to present key benefits to senior executives and sales teams
+ In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure providers and capabilities (AWS, Azure, GCP); Expertise in Docker Containers, Kubernetes and cloud-native tenets is a huge plus
+ Experience in the Security industry would be a big advantage
