The Role
To deliver on our goals and meet rising customer expectations to take on complete leadership and accountability of their strategic transformation programs, we are looking for an experienced technology delivery Program Manager to join our team. We run programs on behalf of our customers all around Europe and we are looking for individuals to join us to help us continue to successfully do this.

Reporting to the responsible Delivery Manager for the customer account, the Program Manager will help drive company strategy, align teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver on complex projects. It all requires a balance of credentials. The most successful PM candidates will have the technical expertise to give them street cred with their staff, the soft skills to make them good at managing others, and the business savvy and relationship management to help them communicate with upper management.

Our Program Managers are assigned to manage the overall customer program and its related projects on behalf of the customer and us. This is a full-time role that works closely with a team of project managers whose projects fall under the program umbrella, customer sponsors, third party vendors, key leadership, and the Steering Committee. They are critical for understanding the full breadth of the program and with tying their end-to-end components together. The Program Manager is responsible for the overall success of the program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong working relationships with all program stakeholders to become a trusted advisor.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of program to schedule.
  • Establish, lead, and manage the Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Plan and design the program and proactively monitor its progress, resolve issues, and initiate appropriate corrective action and serve as escalation point.
  • Define the program's governance arrangements.
  • Manage and take accountability for the program following our Surepath Methodology.
  • Manage and be responsible for the tools and reporting methods to help run the program such as RACI matrix, Communications plan etc.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program.
  • Manage the program's budget, monitor expenditure, and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses.
  • Facilitate the correct resourcing of individuals to project teams.
  • Manage third party contributions to the program.
  • Manage communications with all stakeholders.
  • Initiate extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise.
  • Report the progress of the program at regular intervals to the Delivery Manager, Steering Committee and other stakeholders as required and defined in the governance process documentation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS or BA degree required.
  • 10+ years of implementation experience.
  • 7+ years of program management experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise technology implementations leveraging agile and understands agile tools and concepts.
  • Insurance industry experience – nice to have.
  • A solid understanding of how to apply a standard methodology for running programs (e.g. PMP, MSP, and PRINCE2).
  • Required Skills
  • Fluency in verbal and written French.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills and a strong ability to navigate executive levels of an organization.
  • Ability to build team collegiality on large scale programs with teams from different vendors and companies.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling programs.
  • Understanding of the procurement process including negotiation with third parties.
  • Ability to find ways of solving or preempting problems.
  • Ability to deal with issues directly, firmly, and in a timely manner; doesn’t allow problems to fester; works with people managers to help develop their team members.
