The Project Delivery team is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Program Manager to lead complex, large-scale projects and programs.
Job Duties/Accountabilities: The Senior Program Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager, Program Management and has overall accountability for the end to end management and delivery of supervised projects and programs. The Senior Program Manager also acts as a coach and a guide to project managers within the programs they are managing.
Detailed Accountabilities include:
Lead highly visible projects/programs across functional groups within Bell Business Markets and across BCE business units
Provide leadership to large Enterprise programs and be the main interface to the client senior executives and Bell executives
Responsible for decisions on Risk Management, Quality Management, and Project Governance
Provide strategies to address project complexities and guide Project Management decisions during the implementation phases
Implement strategies for Scope Management to Contract and Client Business Objectives
Manage/Track/Ensure progress against Project Management team objectives
Manage relationships with other key stakeholders, i.e. Contract Delivery Management (CDM), Sales, Executives, etc. from a project perspective
Identify project issues when they arise and lead issues to resolution where required
Communicate regularly with Director on status of business and key weekly priorities
Assists Sales with pre-sales efforts including the preparation of Statements of Work, proposals, contracts, estimates, requirements analysis, technical audits and client relationship management
Provide coaching support to staff on projects where required, including leading escalations
Facilitate monthly team meetings and project reviews with staff
Collaborate with team on District Business Plan strategies and execution
Must have 8+ years of experience in a senior project/program management role
Advanced Project Management experience and skills with demonstrated results
Strong knowledge of the breadth of IT solutions in enterprise environments, their design, implementation, maintenance and operations
Experience in driving processes and implementation improvements in sizeable environments; managing both internal operations and third party vendors and partners with a track record of tight delivery around service levels and cost metrics
Experience in introducing an Agile practice into an organization
Must be a clear, open and effective communicator with strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills and the ability to lead a large group of diverse stakeholders through decision-making processes
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm & energy
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and leadership skills
Strong team player with ability to work effectively in and to foster a collaborative environment
Demonstrated Coaching/Mentoring experience and skills
Solid management experience with track record of working effectively in direct and virtual teams
Excellent problem solver and strategic thinker with the ability to work with ambiguity
Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills (clear, concise verbal and written skills)
Flexible to work under pressure with the ability to manage in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Solid business acumen (a solid foundation/knowledge of business practices, processes, etc.)
University Degree, PMP or equivalent business experience
ISO standard knowledge is an asset
Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
