The Senior Client Project / Programme Manager leads and directs concurrent client projects classified as standard or complex. They may also be involved in larger scale programmes and responsible for delivery across domains, business areas, geographies and technologies.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Client Project / Programme Manager will be to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation, including handing over to Operations (whether internal to NTT or to the client's support operations). He / she may take responsibility for the management of projects and programmes within more complex / partnership accounts and collaborate and engage with senior members involved in programme delivery at the client site. In this instance the Senior Client Project / Programme Manager will lead the coordinated management of multiple related projects within a programme to achieve the business objectives and ensure the strategic benefits are transitioned to the client organisation.

Radford information:

Coordinates all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. Installations may involve acceptance of capitalized equipment or enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May work at client site from time to time. Typically involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams. Project is typically focused on the delivery of new or enhanced products to improvement of customer satisfaction through the use of technology. Project management skills, rather than technical skills, are key, but a strong technical background is often required to manage competing interests. Typically oversees schedules and budgets to ensure goal attainment. Survey Tip: This role is most common in a software or professional services organization in which the individual does not have responsibility over product development, but does have overall project management responsibility. This job manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager will be to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation.

Manage project delivery

  • The Senior Project Manager ensures that the project (or the number of projects ) delivers the as-sold solution, remains within baselined budget and is delivered on time, while achieving quality criteria and maintaining client satisfaction. This includes rigorous project scope control and management of change variations. They also communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of their projects.  Project set-up, resources and operations are efficiently managed, possibly with the assistance of the Project Coordinators or Administrators.

Ensure client satisfaction

  • The individual manages client satisfaction, commitment and expectations to high service levels and manages escalations adequately. They act as the single point of contact between NTT Luxembourg and the client whilst taking accountability for all escalations relating to the project.

Project team management

  • The individual needs to be able to lead teams effectively within a matrixed environment. They act as people managers and provide feedback to the relevant line managers. The TS Project Manager ensures that the project team has access to the project management tools and have the general means to perform their role. These individuals will coach and mentor project team members and colleagues.

Previous work experience

  • Advanced Degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management certification (PMI, Scrum, Prince2, Agile Sage)

Proven experience of

  • At least 8-10 years' working experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ project management experience, preferably multi-national technology services environment
  • Proven client engagement experience
  • Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
  • Experience managing infrastructure and/or software development projects
  • Strong technical background in Digital Infrastructure and / or Digital Workspace domains
  • Managing big scope projects
  • Managing multiple project simultaneously
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to create new business opportunities for the organization
  • Continuous learning ability

Skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
  • Assertive with client satisfaction orientation
  • Demonstrate adequate team leadership, motivation ability and business acumen
  • Good understanding of, responsibility for and ability in all aspects of the full project life-cycle
  • Ability to manage customer satisfaction, commitment and expectations to high service levels and manage escalations adequately
  • Strong business acumen and good understanding of general technology concepts
  • Competent in project change management


  • Ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations

Language skills

  • English mandatory, French is a big asset.
