Job Summary:
The Sr. Quality Analyst (Compliance) is the customer focal point for Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) certifications, audits and daily shipment verification. While performing these duties they are required to act as an independent liaison and aligned to the best interest of the customer. They are responsible for reviewing and approving orders prior to shipment in support of customer requirements, lead time and OTD metrics. This position will prepare all order documentation required for shipments direct customers and will inspect parts for first article shipments and DSQR overviews as required. In this position, cross functional interaction with sales, sales support, planning, shipping, and quality departments locally and globally is required.
Specific Responsibility:
1. Compile and/or complete customer documentation packets based on individual customer requirements, including first articles customer forms, certifications and customer portal documentation. Works with customer to provide product data, inspection data, first articles, certifications, and shipping information for customer online programs to satisfy customer special requirements.
2. Interpret customer prints, PO’s and quality clause requirements and ensure that our documentation satisfies those requirements.
3. Support Greene Tweeds QMS customer satisfaction by supporting and evaluating the effectiveness of Quality Engineering 8D corrective / preventive actions and evaluation of customer specifications.
4. Facilitates on site customer audits and customer direct product release programs.
5. May specialize in training & certify finishers, molders and machinists to GTC QC inspection standard in support of business requirements. Maintain QC stamp records of qualified Greene Tweed employees. Create and maintain tests for certification.
6. May perform product audits on high risk areas as directed by Quality Manager. Interface with the value stream managers on Q1/Q3 CAR and PAR measurement opportunities. Support Measurement System GR&Rs (especially hand tools) and support reduced inspection through improved gauging
7. Evaluates Process Change Control Policies and performs notification of customers (e.g. Frozen Process. Copy Exact).
Required Skills
Education: BS Degree (or equivalent years of experience)
Skills and Experience: Able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience. Strong teamwork and time management skills required. Experience in customer service, or the ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication (written & oral) skills required. Continual improvement exposure, including an understanding of LEAN concepts in a Manufacturing environment desired. The ability to adapt and a willingness to adjust to changes in plans, direction or area requirements required. Excellent Computer Literacy Skills in MS Office that can be applied to documentation and analysis needed. An understanding of functional SAP knowledge preferred. Qualified (or able and willing to achieve qualification) as a Lead Auditor required. Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, in addition to Elastomer/plastic visual defects and measurement tool experience desired. Ability to train others necessary.
