Senior Quality Engineer

Dematic is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to be hired with a permanent contract, for its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio). He/She will report to the Quality Manager, and will go above and beyond to achieve the satisfaction of the customer while supporting Dematic project team in implementing and improving project execution processes. Those processes are to be applied and monitored throughout the life of a project and consistently deployed across all projects.

The Senior Quality Engineer will report on Customer satisfaction, Quality KPIs, facilitate discussion and drive resolution on any project quality related issues.

Your role:

The Senior Quality Engineer is going to:

• Be the Voice of the Customer and a key member of the core project team in terms of Quality
• Oversee the quality status within the dedicated projects & provide support to ensure Quality standards and best practices are applied consistently, to ensure successful Project Delivery.
• Act as primary interface between the Customer, the Project Team members, its Stakeholders and Project Quality. .
• Identify Product & Process Lessons Learned outputs for Quality Assurance Activities and ease their effective implementation in relevant projects and organizational functions.
• Perform Supplier Quality management for the assigned projects to ensure 100% Supplier Readiness in line with the Project Scope of Supply.
• Follow up of Final Acceptance Test for sub-assemblies, the entire installation as well as third party deliveries.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings with regard to non-conformance, ensuring speed and discipline in corrective actions.
• Drive document control systems for all quality data and ensure corrective measures are enacted for noncompliance.
• Responsible for conducting/participating in local quality audits, interpret findings and manage corrective actions.
• Support Customer Service on continuous improvements

Your challenge in the medium term:

• Drive issue resolution and analysis via CAR System across the entire organization and train relevant Project Teams on problem solving techniques (such as 8D, 5 whys…)

• Interface with the customer representative

A candidate with the following features:

• Have a real passion and enthusiasm for doing things right the first time
• Bachelor Degree / Master Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• 5 years’ experience in Quality or in a project based business, construction, Automotive, Oil & Gas or other related industry.
• Proven ability to write and produce technical reports and ability to oversee internal and external quality audits
• Leader mind set and team player with conflict resilience
• Proven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk Management (i.e. LEAN Management, Six Sigma, FMEA)
• Fluency both in English and Italian, Spanish or French beneficial
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Data-driven and familiarity with Power BI, Appsheet and/or other data capturing tools will be a plus.
• Available to business travel
