This position is responsible for achieving an agreed sales quota in an allocated territory by identifying and gaining business from new and existing clients in the EPC and Owner Operator community and ensuring complete customer satisfaction when dealing with Hexagon PPM.

Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: -

  • Developing PP&M’s footprint in the Owner Operator market predominantly on the West Coast of Australia by generating sales leads for our solutions and services, along with other products as required.
  • Identifying and gaining new business through a sustained program of prospect targeting and following up referrals/leads.
  • Understanding the customer's objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes and forming long term business partnerships to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote PP&M as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving "preferred" supplier status.
  • Working closely with new and existing clients to determine their future needs and proposing suitable products, services and upgrades to grow revenue for PP&M.
  • Maintaining call rates to assure contact with assigned clients and acting as the main interface between the client and PP&M to ensure an optimal level of service is provided
  • Conducting product demonstrations and coordinating the preparation of Sales proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account Management plans.
  • Coordinating, conducting and participating in Sales promotions, campaigns, events and displays.
  • Assessing potential partners, performing competitive research, evaluating proposed deals/partnerships and analysing and developing business cases for new business targets.
  • Developing new products, services or solutions by combining several existing products/services and generating leads to establish a corresponding market sector to gain new business for PP&M.
  • Keeping abreast of competitor's Sales strategies.
  • Negotiating contracts in accordance with PP&M’s policies.
  • Complying with PPM's Sales Process and use of GoSell (Salesforce.)

  • Proven Sales ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills.
  • Expert product and industry knowledge with particular reference to technical solutions in the process industry (Owner Operator / EPC)
  • Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution.
  • Management, business, accounting and reporting skills.
  • Creativity and a flair for innovation.
  • 5-8 years of software sales or consulting experience for a large enterprise software organisation, preferably with relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Knowledge of process manufacturing industries such as refining, chemicals, mining or power, particularly from an operations / maintenance perspective.
  • Ideally will have spent time working with the operations and maintenance departments of an operating facility so that you have an appreciation of the day-to-day challenges encountered there
