HII- Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support USAREUR and work out of Wiesbaden, Germany.
U.S. Army Europe’s (USAREUR) mission is provide ready, combat-credible land forces to, and set the essential conditions for, U.S. European Command and NATO to deter aggression from any potential adversary in the European theater. The Enterprise Mission Information Technology Services (EMITS) task order is to provide enterprise information technology, communications, and mission command support services for HQ USAREUR, subordinate organizations, and forward deployed DoD organizational entities worldwide for their associated networks.
Essential Job Responsibilities
+ Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization.
+ Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
+ Create and/or contribute to technical and functional documentation such as detailed architectural and system design documents
+ Participate in project/sprint planning, status, and review meetings.
+ Participate in peer reviews and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards
+ Identify problem areas and identify causes of problems and suggest actions for solving them
+ Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization
+ Other duties may be assigned, as necessary
+ Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 7 yrs of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 yrs of experience.
+ Solid working knowledge of design patterns, best practices, and architectural frameworks like SOLID.
+ 5+ years of experience developing web applications using .Net Framework in C#
+ 2+ years of experience with Web API or similar SOA frameworks
+ Expertise in the installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft technologies including SQL Server & SQL Server Reporting Services, Internet Information Services
+ 5+ years of experience programming in SQL Relational Databases (SQL-Server, Oracle, MySQL) and a good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio
+ Microsoft and/or Security Certifications or equivalent work experience
+ Security+ Certification
+ Clearance: must possess an active Secret level or higher
+ 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools
+ 4+ years of experience using recent versions of Microsoft Visual Studio
+ Expertise in developing unit tests and supporting project-testing efforts
+ Excellent Communication skills
