We are looking for you to support our Automotive Center of Excellence in Ettlingen near Karlsruhe as a Senior Software Test Engineer.
As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you are responsible for the software and system level Verification and Validation of our in house developed automotive
Software for embedded ARM processors in our Ethernet ASICs. This includes Firmware, Software Development Kits, Host Drivers and supporting Tools.
The position requires the definition of test strategies and test cases, implementation of test procedures and compilation of test plans. For Software Integration Testing, you will design and implement specific
test applications in C/C++. You help us plan and implement the test automation solutions as per the needs. You are good at test planning and strategy and can independently lead the software test topics.
You are running Software and System Integration and Qualification tests in an automated test environment and document any deviation from the specification in a bug tracking system.
All the testing activities must comply to the ASPICE process. You will help us improving the test process and help achieve quality goals for the organization.
You are working closely with our Software Engineers to identify and fix the detected issues.
Additionally, you will be contributing to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the automated tests and test environment.
· The candidate should have a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fields and experience in automotive software testing
· Excellent knowledge of test methodology
· ISTQB Certified Tester or similar qualification
· Good knowledge in C/C++
· Knowledge in Standards Automotive SPICE and ISO26262 would be an advantage
· Good knowledge of implementing the test automation
· Good knowledge of a test management system including test planning and test strategy
· Good communication skills in English, written and spoken
· German languages skills are an advantage
· The candidate is flexible, proactive and can work in a team
· Knowledge in Ethernet and specifically AVB/TSN/PTP/1588 protocols are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 5-10 years of related professional experience.
Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 3-5 years of experience.
