Senior Solution Engineer - Apps Development & Integration - Portuguese speaker

The primary role of Senior Solution Engineer is to work in a pre-sales capacity, in unison with sales representatives. It takes the lead in the early and accurate definition of customer solutions, associated architectures and strategic roadmaps. Successful Solution Engineer has strong understanding of how technology can solve business issues, reducing risk and increasing value to the customer. As a Cloud Solution Engineer you will be able to combine natural technical curiosity with the ability to understand our customers unique requirements and show how Oracle Cloud technologies can provide the right solution.
This position can be based in Malaga (Campanillas), Spain or Johannesburg/ Cape Town South Africa - however, South Africa is preferred. PORTUGUESE language speaker needed!
Presenting Oracle solutions and architectures (on-premise and cloud) in front of the customers
Evangelizing key business and technology benefits of Cloud Computing, Cloud Platform and Oracle Autonomous
Taking the lead of the account strategy, enterprise or solution architecture related initiatives and client meetings
Conducting strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops
Formulating cost/benefit analysis, TCO and ROI cases
Engaging as 'solution manager / owner' on key opportunities
Advising customers on how Oracle is positioned relative to competition (including Open Source) on key IT issues
Advising and helping customers transition to cloud
Balancing clients needs and protecting Oracle commercial needs
Building and maintaining relationships at all relevant levels within the client, including C-level people
Working in close alignment with account teams to discover and exploit opportunities for cross and up selling
Involved in local and regional pipeline creation activities
5 years of practical experience in designing and building Cloud technology enterprise solutions

The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10 PERCENT
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
