We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior System Engineer – Storage to work within the Defence environment. The role can based in ACT or Clayton, VIC.

A minimum of NV1 clearance is required for this role with the ability to obtain NV2.

Purpose

Perform storage support activities at a senior level as part of a broader team managing multiple storage technologies for Defence. Lead BAU and project activities as required and provide support and mentoring to more junior staff.

Key Accountabilities

  • Primary contact for incident, problem and change activities.
  • Implementation and maintenance of storage services across multiple platforms.
  • Function as an SME supporting NEC’s BAU and Project Services operations.
  • Work with Project Services to achieve smooth BAU transition for new system integrations.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Expert knowledge in NetApp products.
  • Substantial exposure to NetApp OCI, DFM, OCUM is highly desirable.
  • EMC and HDS experience is highly desirable.
  • Storage certification highly desirable.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation highly desirable.
  • Experience in data protection technologies such as CommVault, Netbackup or SnapManager would be a bonus.
