About the position

Our Transport group employs more than 8,000 professionals who support clients with innovative solutions to efficiently move people and goods across the globe. We focus our efforts in Aviation, Bridge, Highway, Ports & Maritime, Planning Services, Transit & Rail and Tunnels.

Based in our Wellington office and reporting to the Transport Advisory Team Leader, we currently have a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Transportation Engineer to provide transport planning and engineering expertise to our NZ Transport Advisory Section alongside other transportation, traffic engineering and road safety engineering staff.

By driving strong service delivery and through the introduction of new and innovative services and people to key clients, you will be supporting the further growth and development of our Transport Advisory Team through the identification and winning of new business.

About you

To be considered for the role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
  • Degree level qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography, Planning or similar
  • Skilled with providing technical contribution on transport planning aspects of projects at a senior level
  • Able to apply transport planning skills and judgement across multi-faceted projects
  • Demonstrates sound application of relevant NZ design standards and planning guidelines (where applicable) with an awareness of international guidance and practices
  • Excellent stakeholder / client management skills
