Job Description :

The Legal & Compliance department seeks a professional at the Senior Vice President level to act as Chief Compliance Officer for the firm’s Dublin office.


  • Support various business groups on compliance and regulatory matters, including investment, marketing, accounting, operational and middle office departments.
  • Assist in the updating and maintenance of the firm’s policies and procedures and its funds’ compliance program, corporate governance documents and files and research/regulatory library.
  • Annual staff training.
  • Keeping senior management informed of any marketing requirements and material regulatory developments in key jurisdictions in Ireland.
  • Liaising closely with other stakeholders within Blackstone to promote a “joined-up” strategic response to anticipated regulatory change.
  • Proactively developing close working relationships with senior management by providing a commercially-focused, facilitative and prompt compliance service and demonstrating that “good compliance” can drive value.
  • Coordinate with all internal stakeholders, as well as outside counsel, in responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Proactively continuing to foster senior level relationships with the firm’s regulators and industry bodies in Ireland and driving a proactive programme of engagement, both personally and on behalf of management.
  • Providing advice and assistance with regulatory matters and in meeting regulatory standards and expectations. Seeking innovative, but compliant opportunities to champion Blackstone’s interests.
  • Assessing Blackstone’s current and future regulatory risk profile, assisting in the continued development of a risk management framework and evaluating the strategic implications of new regulations and their integration into the impacted business model, including with respect to anti-corruption and anti-money-laundering matters.
  • Assist in a variety of day-to-day matters faced by a growing and global business, including identification of conflicts of interest and monitoring of non-public information and trading activities.
  • Assist in the review of marketing material, investor communications and responses to investor inquiries.
  • Assist with certain aspects of CBI reporting.
