An exciting opportunity that has become available for a Service Manager to join our Australian team. Endress+Hauser Australia is made up of 100 dedicated employees across the country, with our national office located in Artarmon, Sydney, and additional offices in other key locations.

What is the role about?

Are you an experienced leader in Service operations? Do you have a proven track record of devoping and implementing a successful service strategy? Are you passisonate about providing exceptional service to our customers? If so, this role is for you!

The Service Manager has overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient operations of the Service Department, which involves the leadership of a team of Service Engineers and Coordinators, as well as the development and implementation of the Service business strategy.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Lead and manage a team of Service engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery, meeting operational goals and customer expectations
  • Drive and ensure compliance with Work, Health and Safety legislation for the Service business, in particular, compliance with on site regulations
  • Development and implementation of Service business strategy for the Australian business
  • Monitoring and assisting with Service coordination activities, providing support and guidance as required.
  • Overall responsibility for developing and securing service contracts and principal point of contact for contract negotiation.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of service projects, from installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Undertake business development activities for the service department.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of any service-related issues and concerns.
  • Track and analyze key service performance indicators (KPIs), implementing strategies for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, projects, to ensure seamless service operations and customer experience.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Service department
  • Proven leadership skills and experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Proven track record in managing customer relationships and achieving service excellence.
  • Strong technical background in instrumentation, control systems and process plants.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both internal teams and external clients effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving business plan objectives
