Description This is a full time fix term (civ) position

What you will do

The successful applicant will be part of a team providing support including fault diagnosis, escalation and restoration of service requests and incidents. 

This is a busy role where you will enjoy handling and resolving challenges and be enthusiastic about making a difference.  

What we need

You will have some recent experience within a similar role, have proven records of producing high quality results, meeting deadlines under pressure and an understanding of ITIL.  
Keys to your success in this role will be your excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, as well as your ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers; one minute you may be assisting your colleagues, the next minute you may be supporting a senior manager. You will work with both civilian and military personnel.
The hours are rostered within 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with no weekend work. There may be a requirement to travel within New Zealand.
Please Note: We are currently working through our longer-term office location requirements in the broader Wellington area. In the interim you would need to be able to work from our current CIS offices across the Wellington and Upper Hutt Valley region.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

High level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen, who has resided in this country continuously for at least the last ten years, OR

  • is a citizen of, and has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last ten years: either Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
