Health, Safety, Environment; Crisis Management Procedures

- Ensures adequate Crisis Management
By coordinating the Crisis Management Team together with the coordinators of Imerys; allocating the means assigned to avoid the risks of crisis; guaranteeing respect of procedures and prescriptions defined by Imerys Group.
- Maintains consistent actions across the organization
By enforcing company policies and procedures; implementing and managing the internal communication as bearer of a good social cohesion of the company.
Business Strategy & Change Management
- Defines local Strategy alignment and Development of local Organization within Group Strategy
By proposing the local industrial policy alignment of ITBE operation, cascading operational goals and objectives for product, price, marketing and distribution development; driving change and enhancing the maturity of the organisation for ongoing change processes.
Production & Technical Development
- Ensures and directs Production
By supervising the management of production, processing of industrial minerals and the dispatch of the products to the customers in required quality, time and volume.
- Ensures technical development of the organisation
By defining the development of objectives, benchmarking organisational results with other organisations; enforcing the technical development of the organisation in line with the group strategy; checking the technical and financial feasibility of projects and operation of development investments in cooperation with Finance, Technical Department and HR; driving the development of working tools and methods to improve quality, to reduce costs and to allow the development of products; Market/ Quality Management/Technology
- Ensures the Production of Market-Adequate Products
By producing products at the lowest possible cost, thus providing the base for successful marketing; maintaining a close contact to external organisations like universities, institutes, national and international organisations, public offices and authorities, in order to benefit from their service in the technical field, thus improving production procedures.
- Ensures quality management
By coordinating and ensuring the follow up of activities regarding quality standards and quality development; implementing and controlling the application of quality procedures and production compliant with specifications; ensuring the relation with the customers for all quality problems;
Finance / Budget/ Cost Controlling/ Reporting
- Ensures financial processes and reporting
By settling budget plans and last estimates, overseeing consolidation processes; following up implementation; coordinating and ensuring the follow up of actions regarding finance management: ensuring state-of-the-art methods of bookkeeping, ensuring the interface role with the exterior organisations (government auditor, finance administration, banks etc…) and public organisations (Ministry of Finance, Chamber of Commerce, etc…); respecting financial policies of the group;
- Ensures Planning, Cost Controlling and Budgeting Processes
By steering the annual budgeting process for operating costs and capital expenditures for the local organisation; guaranteeing proper administration of payments conform to internal auditing regulations and legal requirements; ensuring presentation of monthly and annual closure files; determining and following up operational costs, by initiating actions to keep costs in line with the budget and correcting them in the latest estimates;
Social / People Management / People Development
- Ensures personnel and social development
By improving the conditions of environment, safety and health of the employees, developing the social policy of the local operation; enhancing effective communication between employees, management and personnel representatives;
By ensuring the implementation and ongoing use of Personnel Management tools; initiating and following up the implementation of plan provisions regarding social issues; participating in regular meetings and negotiations with the personnel representatives, negotiating with external organisations (labour office, social protection, authorities etc…) on social issues;
By initiating the drawing up and implementation of training, development and succession plans; conducting HR reviews and assessments;
- Accomplishes Staff Results
By communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures.
External Relations/ Community Relations
- Maintains good relationship with authorities and communities
By representing the interests of the company towards regional and local authorities; fostering good community relations by means of formal and informal contacts to the relevant stakeholders.
By defining and implementing an external communication policy that responds to the needs of the local communities and in accordance with the communication policy of Imerys; by supporting actions that are susceptible to valorise the company image.
- Maintains Professional and Technical knowledge
By reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; participating in trainings.

University Degree/Engineer Degree in a technical related discipline, e.g. mining/processing/supply chain/…
Fluent in Dutch & English, other languages would be a plus
Strong communication & management skills, both written & face to face
>10 years professional experience with at least 2 years relevant professional experience in leading functions
Masters all operations aspects (Safety, Production, Quality, Process, Capex…) thanks to a solid hands-on experience
Demonstrated capabilities of reaching cost reduction and productivity by promoting a continuous improvement mindset
Ability to attract and develop professional teams
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
