First National Bank of America is seeking a motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to assist in the modernization and maintenance of our internal systems. - 5+ years professional experience in any combination of the following roles:
- Site Reliability or DevOps Engineer with a focus on infrastructure and configuration as code
- Software Developer with a knack for infrastructure and application hosting management
- System Administrator with a knack for scripting, code reuse, and automation
- Experience with Ansible or declarative use of other infrastructure-as-code platforms
Primary Responsibilities for Site Reliability Engineer
- Support the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of critical FNBA systems.
- Participate in multiple pronged effort to update FNBA's infrastructure and network environment
- Maintain existing tooling & processes:
- Database configuration, performance analysis, and change promotion
- Provide Specification and Implementation/Code review of development tasks
- Support SDLC tools and software release pipeline while establishing usage guidelines & best practices
- Provide infrastructure and CI support as needed for IT and development staff
- Prioritize site reliability, security, and transparency
- Provide administrative support for: Git, GitHub Actions, Elastic/Kibana, Maven, Microsoft SQL Server, Docker, Selenium
- Methodically work to improve automation and tooling for all aspects of the SDLC including business analysis, prioritization, development, testing, deployment, change management, and provisioning of needed resources to support FNBA business departments, users, and customers
- Participate in resolving production incidents when necessary
- Troubleshoot user issues as assigned
- Be cool, know what you're doing, clean up your mess
Desired Experience and Capabilities
- 5+ years professional experience in any combination of the following roles:
- Site Reliability or DevOps Engineer with a focus on infrastructure and configuration as code
- Software Developer with a knack for infrastructure and application hosting management
- System Administrator with a knack for scripting, code reuse, and automation
- Experience with Ansible or declarative use of other infrastructure-as-code platforms
- Experienced with Git usage, best practices, advanced functionality and familiarity with enterprise Git repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Working experience with: Windows Administration, Active Directory, Powershell, Linux, VMware, Networking
- Working experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container deployment and orchestration platforms
- Experience configuring or administering backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience using or supporting other related tools including Elastic, Jira, Confluence, Tomcat, CI/CD pipelines
- Java, JavaScript, SQL, or Python development experience a plus
