Duties and Responsibilities
This position is intended to manage the software infrastructure systems for the digital goods products at Grab Jakarta , owning end to end systems and services and being a bar raiser in terms of operational excellence. The key success factors for this role are mastery of distributed systems, excellent design knowledge (AWS) and project management (breakdown problem, finding the right strategy, shepherd project until the end of implementation, and ensuring the results are sustainable).
5+ years of relevant, broad engineering experience, including 3+ years of people management experience
B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Fundamental knowledge in cloud infrastructure
Mastery of distributed systems (AWS)
Excellent software design knowledge
Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures; relational and non-relational databases
You can be a good coder in scripting languages (bash, shell), knowledge of GoLang or Python is a plus
Project management (Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent computer network knowledge and able to work on various network devices
Working on UNIX environment in daily basis
Have a good understanding of infrastructure as a code (experienced in Terraform and ansible)
Having experience in CI/CD
Experienced in Kubernetes Cluster setup, configuration, deployment and maintenance (EKS, GKE)
Fundamental knowledge on in-premise data center infrastructure
Azure infrastructure knowledge will be a plus point
Messaging infrastructure such as Kafka, Amazon SQS, or RabbitMQ
Configuration / key-value store management using Consul or ETCD
Great communication skills in English
Bahasa as a mother tongue
