The Site Reliability Software Engineer (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. The SRE ensures that our client's services - both internally critical and externally visible systems - have reliability and uptime to suit clients' needs and a high rate of improvement. Additionally, SRE’s will keep a close eye on systems capacity and performance. Much of the software development focuses on optimising existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or equivalent/related technical field involving software/systems engineering) or equivalent practical experience
• Expertise in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
• Proven ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
• You must have a good exposure to Unix / Linux operating systems
• Experience programming in at least two of the following languages: C, C++, Java or Rust
• Capable of working remotely with very little supervision, but willing to collaborate as a member of a globally distributed team
• Comfortable working with shell scripting
• Experienced with algorithms and data structures
