The Pegasystems Site Reliability Team is the internal organization responsible for the reliability and availability of the Pegasystems Cloud Service offering. We operate as a Global follow the sun team with locations in Bangalore, Sydney, and the East Coast of the United States. As a global organization we are diverse in our culture and capabilities. We are the first responders and provide proactive technical response to prevent client impacting incidents. We are called upon often to help diagnose complex issues and frequently consulted by client facing organizations for help in solving complex technology issues.
Picture Yourself at Pega:
Cloud Service Reliability Engineers are expected to take an active role in maintaining Pega Cloud platform health and high performance. This role will focus on an Operational aspect of Pega Cloud platform, especially on performing regular upgrades to the latest Pega Cloud version, regular health checks, and close cooperation with customer-facing Global Customer Service team on various customers' issues. This role requires troubleshooting skills, ability to work in 24/7 environment to accommodate customer maintenance windows and detailed-oriented approach when performing Cloud Operations tasks. You will have the opportunity to work on complex problems and apply your expertise and experience to improve reliability of Pega Cloud Platform.
What You'll Do at Pega:
+ Operate, Administer and Automate solutions on Pega Cloud Stack.
+ Take personal ownership of the systems you manage and operate and be responsible for problem discovery, analysis and resolution.
+ Leverage and grow your diagnostic, technical and communication skills.
+ Find out opportunities to bring reliability in the product and infrastructure.
+ Use DevOps tools and techniques to reduce toil and build self-healing solutions.
+ Use and learn world class cloud infrastructure and management technologies
+ Be part of a fast-paced, dynamic and fast-growing team delivering strategically important solutions for world-class customer
Who You Are:

+ The person is ready to learn Pega platform and has a mindset to solve complex challenges to implement SRE principles.
+ The person can work independently as well as with a team, leads by example, and demonstrates a commitment to quality development and operational practices.
What You've Accomplished:
+ 3-5 years of experience of managing servers and application stack in a public cloud environment such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
+ Hands-on experience of Linux system administration within a complex, enterprise environment.
+ Solid scripting skills (Python, go, bash etc.)
+ Basic network troubleshooting skills (TCP/IP, routing, networking topologies etc.)
+ Experience working in Cloud based infrastructure – DB, Application, OS, and Network
+ Have become knowledgeable of configuration automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc.)
+ Gained an understanding of the ITIL process
