This role is challenging, interesting and integral to the service we provide to our clients via the SOE Management/Operations team. The SOE Management team is responsible for maintaining the Standard Operating Environment, both traditional and modern, and packaged applications in use.

About the Role

As a SOE Engineer, you are responsible for the maintenance and development of customer environments and timely action of customer service requests within the agreed Service Level Agreements, while maintaining accurate and timely updates to technical documentation and ticket notes.

What you’ll do

As SOE Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Development/Maintenance of Microsoft Desktop Operating System and productivity suites
  • Software packaging/release
  • Technical Escalation point for the EUC team
  • Group Policy Management
  • Patch Management.

What you’ll bring

Please note, you must be an AU Citizen to be successful in your application for this role and attain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance (NV1).

We are looking for someone with IT industry experience and 3 years plus in an SOE management role. You are passionate about your work, proactive, client-focused and believes in customer service as a point of differentiation in a service offering. You can work both independently on competing priorities and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following fields:

  • Operating Systems (Windows 7 through 10 and Apple Mac OS)
  • Microsoft Office 2007 through Office 365
  • Automation techniques including Powershell.

You will be familiar with most of the following technologies:

  • SOE development
  • SCCM
  • Intune and Autopilot
  • OS deployment and maintenance
  • Group Policy management
  • Profile management
  • Software packaging
  • Office 2010/2016/365
  • Windows Server 2012/2012 R2/2016/2019
  • AWS workspaces and
  • VMware Horizon 6/7
  • Appsense environment manager and application control.
