As a Developer in our team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues. Our goal is to solve the needs of our customer with first class user experience ultimately allowing them to make faster better decisions. Our development process follows the principle of continuous integration, and we integrate UX in our development process to strive for UI and user-centric solution. Our team does develop and improve our cloud platform, SAP Analytics Cloud and does cooperate with user interface designers, product experts and sales colleagues to deliver the best solution for our customers.

On a usual day you will...

• Develop and improve software using JavaScript, TypeScript and libraries on top of our cutting-edge technology, SAP HANA.
• Work closely with our designers to provide our customers with fresh, friendly, and elegantly simple user experiences no matter of their function or role within the application.
• Work with the platform teams on integration to provide data access for analytical and intelligent capabilities across SAP Intelligent Enterprise
• Provide reliable and stable services from our backend on top of HANA XS and Node.js.

In addition to that you will...

• Write unit tests for your code and define end-to-end tests for the application.
• Engage with our sales team and customers to better understand the needs and workflows of the end users and collaborate on concepts for new functionality.

EXPERIENCES/ ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Required skills

• University degree in computer science or related technical discipline
• Very good German and English, both spoken and written
• Very good programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript
• The urge to take responsibility and solve usability obstacles
• Deep knowledge of software design and software architecture

Preferred skills

• The ability to think holistically about software as a service
• Experience with databases and SQL
• Experience in working with SAP products and environments/libraries such as Node.js, XS Engine, UI5
• Habit to follow Test Driven Development
• Building software that must scale to thousands of users concurrently
• Experiences with web services and APIs (REST, OData, Swagger)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years development-related work experience
