Senior software engineer (java)

Join our Principal Flow Trading stream in Hong Kong as part of the Equity Derivatives Quoting team. We engineer advanced, automated electronic trading applications by partnering directly with front-office stakeholders. In this role, you design secure and reliable software capable of supporting latency-sensitive trading algorithms. You will work alongside a global team to advance our quoting platforms, integrating observability and mitigating risks to ensure optimal production health. Responsibilities Oversee projects and drive deliverables for latency-sensitive trading algorithms Design, develop and maintain front-office trading applications Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate complex business and regulatory requirements into effective technical solutions Apply comprehensive software engineering practices to ensure solutions are secure, reliable and compliant Advance quoting applications by integrating observability, monitoring production health and resolving incidents Address root causes of risks and share technical expertise across the global team Requirements Advanced proficiency in Java with a strong interest in learning new technologies and methodologies Background in a front-office environment with direct business stakeholder engagement Familiarity with real-time trading platforms, including warrants, listed options, futures, market making and market links Clear communication for cultivating strong internal client relationships Strong organizational capabilities for managing multiple tasks concurrently under pressure Adaptability to handle daily changes in business requirements Commitment to teamwork and collaborative problem-solving We offer By choosing EPAM, you're getting a job at one of the most loved workplaces according to Newsweek 2021 - 2023 Employee ideas are the main driver of our business.
