Software Engineer, Content Delivery, Adobe Experience Manager

Adobe is the industry leader in Experience Management. Adobe Experience Manager helps our customers manage, run and maintain high traffic, high visibility experiences and solve complicated scaling problems for them.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer with tracked experience in working with Content Delivery technologies, and with extensive knowledge of internet protocols and network engineering to help us design, build and operate our fast delivery layer.

What you'll do

• Help defining our content delivery strategy
• Translate business requirements into architectural and implementation choices
• Work with the rest of the team on implementing our content delivery layer
• Define and implement devops components to operate the platform

What you need to succeed

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years of experience development of large-scale, distributed applications
• Proficiency in Java, or alternatively in C, C++ or Python
• Advanced knowledge of Internet protocols: HTTP, TCP, DNS
• Familiarity with networking concepts, TCP performance and DDoS mitigation
• Experience on building and running highly-available services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache HTTPD at scale
• Experience with Content Delivery Network (CDN) solutions
• Experience in container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems
• Experience in open source software development desired (eg. Apache Software Foundation)
• Proven leadership in a popular open source project is a strong plus
• Proven leadership in standards definition or implementation (e.g. protocols, containers, java, etc..) is a strong plus
• Platform as a Service development and operations experience
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver high quality technical documents
• Proven thought leadership in the industry through speaking at conferences or writing articles
