About BlackRock’s China Wealth Management Company
In August 2020, BlackRock, Temasek and China Construction Bank (CCB) received approval from the China Banking & Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) to set up a Wealth Management Company (WMC) in Shanghai. BlackRock will hold a 50.1% stake in the joint venture. The WMC will be able to manufacture onshore products for domestic investors.
About this role:
As a domain specialist, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs.
The successful candidate will have the technical skills, a proven professional experience and a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practice.
As a manager, you will guide, coach and mentor software engineer’s talent to grow a strong software development team. Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing along with delivery to product management. Supervise architecture plus lead efforts to develop technical roadmap of all projects.
Establish and stimulate software development standards and processes along with standard methodologies for delivery of scalable and high-quality software. Perform closely with Engineers, Developers and Product Management throughout organization to influence product development or improving products.
Develop relations with existing and prospective internal customers to interpret all individual requirements. Learn and display as how products would contribute to respective business. Ensure top quality design reviews attaining business goals.
Manage development and deployment of Investment Systems Software, established the required policy, procedure & standards align to the best practices of the local IT industry
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and Business Systems and electronic data operations
Lead and grow teams by recruiting, training and mentoring employees and contingent workers, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Evaluate and act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to the Wealth Management Company policy
Identify problematic areas and implement tactical or strategic solution to meet short- and long-term goals.
Participate in audit and assess their outcomes
Preserve assets, information security and control structures
Handle annual budget and ensure cost efficiency
Proven work experience as an IT Software Manager or similar meaningful experience
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems especially in the China Construction Bank Investment System
Experience in data governance in line with Chinese Regulation
Have hands on experience and knowledge on Unix and Windows Operating Systems
Experience with system administration of an Investment Management System
Familiar with several database technology like MS SQL Server, MySQL or Oracle would be advantageous
Strong ability to lead a team or influence third-party vendors
Possess at least a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS or a degree in a similar field
Proficient in Mandarin and English
