This is a partner facing role within the Partner Solutions team, Security Business Unit with a focus on VMware Carbon Black product portfolio and partner service and practice development. The Partner Solutions Engineer is responsible for ensuring the overall technical success of a portfolio of strategic partners by crafting partner solutions/offerings, execution of enablement strategy, and as appropriate, will influence the customer decision making process across all levels of the business with territory sales engineers. You will be known as a technical subject matter expert and act as a trusted adviser inside the partner. You will work as part of the account team to ensure achievement of the business objectives and revenue targets. Sets and manages partner expectations while continually highlight VMware Carbon Black value proposition Thinks strategically about partner solution success and adapts a solution approach based on individual partner needs Develop and maintain strong contacts and relationships with cross-functional teams (Sales, Support, Engineering, Prof. Svcs, and Prod Mgmt) to ensure technical health of partners Drive coordination of technical resources both internally and externally as needed to close prospective opportunities Work with the VMware Carbon Black Partner Team and partners to formulate and implement both tactical and strategic sales and enablement initiatives within their portfolio What You’ll Bring BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent work experience 5+ years partner facing, technical industry experience Security Certifications such as CISM, CISA, CISSP are helpful 3+ years of technical Channel and Partnership Sales experience.
