Technical Sales Solution Architect - Data Centre Segment

Reporting into the Data Centre Segment Leader EMEA, in this role you will be contributing to the expansion of Eaton sales in the Data Centre segment, where success is measured by system integration (full Eaton portfolio) sales, sales profitability, and customer satisfaction; stimulating growth and expansion in the Data Centre market segments (EMEA).

You will be working closely with commercial sales organization (Customers), segment development team (Marketing and Business Units), engineering teams and customer experience team (Projects and Services), with focus on design and sales development of integrated Data Centre solutions for the cloud, colocation and communications industries across the EMEA region. You will be exploring and developing relationships with third parties including complementary vendors and integration partners and act as a subject matter expert on next generation design, engage and educate audiences via organized consultancy programs and as a keynote speaker at industry events. This role will have a focus on mainly Northern and Western Europe.

Your Key Deliverables

Developing an effective efficient strategy in the Data Centre segment, with focus on the following areas:

  • Consultancy support to convert costumer demands into Eaton solutions. Transferring a customer case to Eaton energy management system solution
  • Consultancy focused on driving the design to Eaton application/specification (pre-sales)
  • Bridging between design specification and application of the system solution
  • Subject matter expert able to link design concepts and features to customers business drivers

Create Awareness
  • Promoting the value of Eaton architecture as a subject matter during; fairs, seminars and presentations
  • Conducting knowledge sharing presentations to influence the specifications, at: end contractors, installers, customers and consultancy companies
  • Knowledge sharing at customer events, like; training, lunch and learn, design meetings etc.
  • Conducting training at selected consultants preferably with CPD (Continuing Professional Development?) accreditation
  • Conducting presentation to share and educate on data centre application knowledge, both for Eaton and externally

Support Eaton's Datacentre Segment
  • Engaging broadly in the market. Customer, Consultants, Channel Partners and Alliance partners
  • Application support for Regions, Country sales organizations and key accounts
  • Offer support to:
  • Key account managers by engaging early in sales process
  • Key countries and Zones by engaging early in sales process
  • Strategic opportunities in zones and countries
  • Marcom in knowledge sharing events and content, like; white papers, success stories, architecture designs etc.

Grow The Organization
  • Supporting Data Centre segment
  • Sharing application knowledge and experience in the team
  • Growing the Application knowledge in the Data Centre segment team

Are you?
  • Educated at Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or coming with equivalent Industry experience?
  • Possessing proven track of experience of Data Center design and component product engineering – at least 5 years?
  • Experienced in designing a guide specification of the power distribution to a datacenter?
  • Coming with Project Management expertise?
  • Possessing Leadership skills?
  • Able to identify and convert projects opportunities in sales?
  • A strong communicator, both verbal and written, with formal presentation skills?
  • Driven to accomplish results in a cross-functional team environment, exhibiting formal and informal leadership skills?
  • Skilled in Co-operation (customers and own personnel), teamwork and goodwill?
  • Ready to promote a systems approach, including the full Eaton portfolio focused on Power Quality and Power Distribution?
  • Experienced in specification selling and specification influencing?
  • Ready to build a strong partnership with customers through daily interaction with operations and engineering teams?
  • Experienced on building a strong partnership with consultancy companies, being a trusted adviser on power distribution, mainly through interaction with appropriate departments?
  • Knowledgeable on how collaborate with across company divisions, aiming at implementing best practices?
  • Eager to engage, with drive to help others perform and achieve excellence?
  • Advanced level in English language?
  • Travel in the Northern and Western Europe might be required up to 50% of the working time.
