Overview

The Solution Architect is primarily responsible for the overall design of the application and mapping client business requirements to systems and technical requirements. They are responsible for the vision that underlies the solution and driving the execution of that vision into the solution. The Solution Architect becomes involved with a project at the time the team is structuring requirements.

The Solution Architect works as a team member of the Project Board along with the Project Manager, Lead Software Developer, Product Owner and Lead QA Analyst to deliver the complete solution for the customer.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role are the following:

• Working directly with customers and leading our project development teams
• Defining logical and physical solution architectures
• Defining system integration architectures
• Ensuring solutions adhere to non-functional requirements
• Managing architectural and technical risk
• Developing technical best practices and ensuring adherence to them
• Overall responsibility for the quality of the technical solution delivered by the project team
• Managing technical aspects of the transition of the solution into a production environment
• Working with the project manager and product owner to manage the flexible scope with customer
• Taking lead on various development activities such as designing and developing specific business components, integrations or larger parts of the solution
• Strong focus on high quality throughout the entire development process, working closely with our Quality Assurance teams
• Monthly travel to US customers between %10-%15

Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this role with have the following:

• Experience as technical lead on customer facing projects
• Experience developing Java applications; Java 8 or higher and Java Enterprise
• Experience of Spring (2.5 or above)
• Experience configuring CI/CD and Devops tools, e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo, Sonar, Maven, Gradle, Ant, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience of ORM frameworks, e.g. Hibernate, Toplink, etc
• Experience of RDBMS, e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
• Experience with document-oriented (no-sql) databases
• Experience of system integrations, e.g. using JMS, SOA, Micro services, ETL, ESB or other Middleware tools
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Degree in Computer Science or related subject
