As a small team that requires staff to carry a broad set of skills and also has to be adaptable to various situations, we require a high calibre, proven performer that can blend well with our team; as well as bring solid background of contribution that stands out from the pack and who will engage our customers in such a way that their efforts enhance Datacom’s reputation.
About the RoleAs Solution Architect, you will work collaboratively with Sales, Account Management, Technical Domains and Customers to understand business requirements, and architect cost effective technology-based solutions that address those requirements. As Solution Architect, you will be tasked with architecting and designing how a particular business objective will be achieved or problem will be solved for a sales opportunities and/or Customer request. You will define what specific technologies and process changes/improvements should be used. You will also provide direction and guidance to the Account Management team, bid team and Operations and bears responsibility for setting the overall technical solution and tactical strategy. As Solution Architect, you will have broad experience in many technical disciplines as well as a solid understanding of business and service management principles.

What you’ll bring
You will have a minimum of 10 years’ IT experience within a Professional Service IT environment, with exceptional hands-on experience in the delivery of sizeable infrastructure, cloud, IT outsourcing, storage, backup, network and/ or cloud adoption/ migration projects. You will bring a successful track record in Solution Architecture and technical sales, with outstanding business knowledge – corporate structure, ROI, TCO, budget, planning strategy, etc. You will be self-driven, possess excellent customer liaison skills and live and breathe technology.
