The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Telco Solutions Architect for the Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region to join us in Madrid or in another European country. In this role, you will work to support the telco sales teams to promote our business with relco and network functions virtualization (NFV) infrastructure by engaging, meeting, and demonstrating Red Hat's solutions to telco customers. You will collaborate with our telco business development managers and solutions and domain architects to define plans, tactics, and strategies to support Red Hat's solutions applied to telco solutions. As a Senior Telco Solutions Architect, you will support sales teams in developing opportunities for telco and NFV, including delivering blueprints, request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) responses, proofs of concepts, and project scoping and presenting project deliveries. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Build value propositions for our telco customers on media and connectivity, including enterprise and residential routers and other customer-premises equipment (CPE), as well as the services associated with them like IPPBXs, firewall, STB, etc.
Help Red Hat position our Red Hat OpenShift container-based platform, as well as the Red Hat Middleware solutions around this use case
Use and manage telco labs where we test and develop different solutions
Enable and support our EMEA presales and architect team partners on telco technologies and concepts to develop and deliver the Red Hat message and value proposition
Partner with local teams in EMEA to address telco customers and partners and their technical network teams; work with the sales and presales teams to gain market share
Position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telco like independent software vendors (ISV), network equipment providers (NEP), telco and cloud providers, system integrators (SIs), and hardware vendors
Guide or contribute to RFP and RFI responses and projects
Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concepts for Red Hat's solutions
Communicate and partner with Red Hat's Products and Technologies (PnT) team managers, marketing managers, and engineers, as well as the global Corporate Telco team
Prepare detailed specifications and implement customer installation plans for our offerings
Propose solutions based on customer requirements and deliver solid business cases
Design architectures delivering value and present the application and ROI of these technologies
Experience working in or with the telco industry, including ISVs (CPE suppliers) and telco operators
Direct experience with our Red Hat OpenShift platform
Excellent communication skills and proven customer-facing skills
Eagerness to learn Red Hat’s technologies and cocreate new solutions in a multidisciplinary way, including ISVs, SIs, solutions architects, key account managers, etc.
Understanding of the language used in the telco industry; particular focus on end customer services
Written and verbal communication skills in English
