Sourcing Systems and Applications Manager

Job Description Summary

The Sourcing Systems and Applications Manager is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and management of sourcing tools, systems, and applications at GE Vernova Corporate Sourcing Operations team. This role ensures seamless digital Sourcing processes, enhances operational efficiency, and drives strategic initiatives to support business growth. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage system improvements, and implement innovative solutions to streamline sourcing activities.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing digitization and process excellence by identifying opportunities for harmonization, application simplification, implementation, and hyper-care activities.
• Collaborate with cross-BU and cross-functional (IT, Finance, Supply Chain) teams to ensure sourcing Applications align with business needs and digital strategy,
• Serve as Business Functional Owner of key sourcing Applications including Sourcegate+ and Indirect Sourcing Savings tracking applications. Define the roadmap, communicate Business requirements to IT partners, and lead timely implementation and enhancements
• Provide expert guidance as a subject matter expert, ensuring sourcing technology adheres to industry best practices and strategic objectives.
• Monitor Application Usage and Adoption, lead improvement initiatives across BUs to maximize efficiency
• Oversee system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements through process automation and simplification by applying advanced technology.
• Apply Lean and process excellence methodologies to identify opportunities for operational optimization and lead Kaizen initiatives.
• Facilitate Trainings to equip sourcing teams with system expertise through regular training sessions, office hours, and ongoing support

Required Qualifications

• Significant experience in sourcing operations or commodity Management, with additional experience as a Commodity Leader considered a plus
• Strong Program Management expertise in system implementation and digital transformation initiatives
• Proven leadership in driving large-scale organizational process optimization and cultural transformation.
• Strong expertise in sourcing processes, supplier management, and procurement tools, with Knowledge of ERP as an advantage.
• Deep proficiency in Lean methodologies with hands-on experience leading Kaizen initiatives.
• Exceptional Stakeholder engagement and Management skills, ensuring effective collaboration and strategic alignment.

Desired Characteristics

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in sourcing, supply chain management, finance, IT, or engineering.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in managing system implementation and process optimization projects
• Strategic mindset to develop long-term sourcing technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent listening and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders
• Expertise in change management, driving adoption, training, and seamless transitions for sourcing application implementation
• Strong data interpretation skills to measure system effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
