YOUR PROFILE

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Upon your arrival, you will support the PMO team in structuring the projects to provide adequate budget development, cost control and forecast according to corporate procedures and policies of the company. You will also provide support to the various projects within the portfolio in ensuring the project startup phase is conducted in a timely fashion. You will report to the Manager, Enterprise PMO. Your role and responsibilities will be the following:

  • Support the Manager, Enterprise PMO for the deployment of the resource planning tool within our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics D365) to ensure a transparent reporting on the upcoming needs.
  • Work independently to develop activity sequencing, schedule development and schedule control providing a global view for the project portfolio.
  • Analyze deviations and recommending corrective actions to Management.
  • Monitor progress of the work and control costs and revenues of the portfolio so that business unit can achieve profitability target.
  • Work with project teams and PCOs to develop portfolio reports.
  • Alongside the Project Control Officer, support the Manager, PMO to ensure a standardized approach in the development of project portfolio enterprise structure, i.e.: work breakdown structures, cost breakdown structures, budget control and reporting that enable the effective and timely follow up for the projects within the Enerkem-Project Execution Processes (Enerkem Way).
  • Control and report application of Enerkem Way stage gates process in projects.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain integrated project WBS cost coding.
  • Prepare recommendations for remedial action where deviations occur for correcting project structures.
  • Support projects to prepare requisitions and update project status for Corporate POs.
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure the correct utilization of the project control system based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines.
  • Support the accounting team to ensure that all costs are appropriately identified and flow through for reporting is properly done within the cost management system.
  • Support project and accounting team with invoicing set up.
  • Project start-up support by helping uploading budgets and items required to be purchased for the entire project.
  • Prepare portfolio level reporting to ensure sales, original commitments and costs are accurately reported on a timely basis.
  • Support the Accounting Department in reconciliating reports and correction measures required for invoicing.
  • Support the business development team in responding to RFQ, RFP and bid development by structuring projects adequately.
  • Implementation of procedures and continuous improvement measures to promote a standard project approach.
  • Develop and maintain management information reports.
  • Develop performance indicators (cost analysis), utilization rates, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and all specific local requirements.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent in a relevant program such as engineering, construction management, accounting or finance, business management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience required.
  • Experience in managing project portfolio in a similar industry required.
  • Knowledge and working experience with ERP like Microsoft Dynamics 365 in a project organization an asset.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work in a highly multidisciplinary environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage ambiguity and change.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Full understanding of project life cycle of engineering and construction projects.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK or Project Management education an asset.
  • Experience in deploying internal control systems at various stages of the project according to the company’s standards.
  • Hands-on experience working with MS project tools: SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, Power BI.
  • Fully bilingual (French & English).
