Import & export team specialist (M/F)

To support of our French operations, we are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic, Import & export team specialist

Permanent Contrat / Contrat CDI

Based in the Toulouse site (France), we offer you an exciting opportunity to take over a challenging role and contribute bringing the import/export and logistics function to the next level. You will coordinate with our operations, logistics and purchasing team the alignment of trade regulations, customs support in strategic and operative manner as well as providing general company guidance. We work with agile mindset while supporting the company growth. Reporting to the head of Logistics France your responsibilities will include, among others:

Responsibilities:

• Implementation, optimization, control and administration of trade, customs and dangerous goods processes according to international regulations in the operational handling
• Drive import and export declarations. Communication with customs entities
• Drive and develop the import export function at country level
• Implementation and support of customs and trade IT solutions (e.g. export control)
• Support the global Evotec supply chain network on customs and trade relevant matters
• Manage and support external customs and internal audits
• Lean project management of customs and logistics projects, support to global supply chain
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner and that all equipment is regularly checked and complies with Safety Legislation
• Support regular Distribution and warehouse operations: ordering and replenishment of packing supplies, internal distribution of samples and stock, assembling and packing of shipments, arranging collections and transfer of goods, tracking and invoicing of export and import.
• Provide support to the warehouse manager.
• Close collaboration with the procurement team for supplier management and negotiation

Your ideal qualification:

• Degree in business administration, postgraduate in foreign trade, logistics
• 3 to 5 years of experience in trade and customs environment
• Good knowledge of EU and US customs process: C-TPAT, export control
• Good knowledge of dangerous goods regulations (IATA, ADR) e.g. chemicals  bio materials
• IATA and ADR certified
• Project management experience
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills, sense of humor, open minded
• French and English fluent, German or other EU languages of advantage
• Willingness to travel
