As a Cloud VDI Specialist you will drive the design anddelivery of world-class virtual desktop infrastructure solutions hosted on-premise and in the public cloud.This includes taking a lead role in the virtual desktop infrastructure team. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable rapid deployment and adoption of new VDI services and drive transformation for our business and IT processes. Your responsibilities include partnering with business-lead development teams and successfully leading the design of cloud solutions. Other items that you would be working with are:
- Assist in defining/implementing the VDI Architectures for both on-prem and public cloud solutions
- Become a go to person for VDI within the Canadian firm.
- You should have a solid understanding of VDI services offered on-premise and on public cloud platforms
- Ensure that all VDI solutions follow Deloitte’s and the client’s security and compliance controls.
- Participate in the establishment of an automated DevOps release management pipeline which delivers tooling for next generation application development efforts (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops).
Our Cloud Engineering team supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.
As a VDI Specialist, you:
- Understand Windows desktop operating Systems
- Are competent in requirements gathering, designing and implementing dedicated and shared Virtual Desktops Infrastructure (VDI) service
- Have worked with Cloud based and on-premise VDI environments
- Previous deep expertise in 2-3 of the following technologies such as; VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Azure Window Virtual Desktop, Amazon WorkSpaces and Google Desktops
- Have a good working knowledge of infrastructure services such as; Active Directory, DNS, Networking, Windows Server Operating Systems, and Storage
- Possess a good working knowledge of Cloud technologies, IaaS and PaaS
- Familiar with common Application Architecture and VDI licensing
- Have some consulting experience.
