Job Description


  • Develop algorithms for nonlinear finite element analysis

Perform design, implementation, system integration, documentation, and unit/system testing of Nastran Dynamics Solutions

Project and technical management

Author project and user documentation.

Stay abreast of external developments in Finite Element based structural dynamics methods

Enhance and correct defects in Nastran

Ensure all deliverables meet established Product Quality Metrics and Guidelines.

Assist QA and Project Testing teams with benchmarking and certification to ensure a successful and timely product release.

Provide second-line support to MSC application/support engineers.



  • Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mechanics and Aerospace Engineering or related field, with emphasis in development and application of software with finite element methods.

  • 3+ years of industrial experience is expected. Outstanding fresh graduates will be considered in lieu of work experience
  • Experience in development and implementation of finite element code, user subroutine of commercial FE package, numerical material model is desired.
  • Programming experience in Fortran, C, C++, Python and other scripting languages.
  • MSC Nastran (Preferred) or other commercial finite element analysis software experience


- Engineering Simulation

- Demonstrated strong theoretical knowledge of Linear & Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis

  • General knowledge of nonlinear static and dynamic analysis including, but not limited to: geometric, material & contact non-linear algorithm.
  • The responsibility is to study and research state-of-art in nonlinear FE algorithm and software to improve and enhance the MSC Nastran
  • General knowledge of Nastran, Ansys or Abaqus, preferred.
  • Experience with engineering software design and development, desired
