Due to growth within our team, we are looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our amazing Therapy Services team, based in the Southern Metro Region.

Your new role

As a Speech Pathologist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and will provide therapeutic assessments and evidence-based intervention for individuals across all age ranges, in the area of Speech Pathology. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • working with a varied caseload including both children and adults with autism to support functional communication goals, complex communication needs, speech delays and disorder, language delays and disorders and social skill development
  • assessing speech, language and communication needs of individuals utilising appropriate assessments, intervention strategies and processes
  • utilising Speech Pathology knowledge and skills to provide consultative support
  • working collaboratively with educational staff, families and staff from other organisations
  • facilitating successful inclusion of families and individuals into group programs
  • providing specialised advice, support and information to individuals with autism spectrum, their families and other significant stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or Masters in Speech Pathology
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance
  • Experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services
  • Experience in the delivery of services to clients with developmental delay/disorders
