Your new role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and will provide therapeutic assessments and evidence-based intervention for individuals across all age ranges, in the area of Speech Pathology. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
working with a varied caseload including both children and adults with autism to support functional communication goals, complex communication needs, speech delays and disorder, language delays and disorders and social skill development
assessing speech, language and communication needs of individuals utilising appropriate assessments, intervention strategies and processes
utilising Speech Pathology knowledge and skills to provide consultative support
working collaboratively with educational staff, families and staff from other organisations
facilitating successful inclusion of families and individuals into group programs
providing specialised advice, support and information to individuals with autism spectrum, their families and other significant stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or Masters in Speech Pathology
Membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance
Experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services
Experience in the delivery of services to clients with developmental delay/disorders
