Job Description

This IT position will be involved in the ongoing daily support of the Oracle Cloud Finance system and the data integrations with that system. This position will work very closely with the company’s accounting and finance departments to maintain these systems. Working hand in hand with these departments, this position will assist with ongoing process analysis, new system configurations, and the general support of these systems.
1. Assisting the functional departments with business requirements gathering
2. Consulting with functional departments to identify necessary changes to systems.
3. Help investigate and resolve system functional and technical errors
4. Develop complex and special ad hoc reports that the functional areas are not able to handle.
5. Troubleshooting on systems and data, and generate solutions which may include systems modifications, enhancements or new procedures.
6. Design, develop, configure and test systems functionality changes.
7. Help define testing scenarios and develop test scripts.
8. Maintain integrations to Oracle Cloud system by troubleshooting Java programs and Linux shell script, and coordinating with other IT areas who are responsible for file transfers and databases.
9. Report, track, and resolve application related issues with the Oracle support organization.

1. Minimum five years of IT experience.
2. Three years of progressively responsible experience as applications/systems analyst including at least two years working with finance/accounting applications.
3. Must have experience developing, coding and supporting integrations between systems.
4. Experience with Oracle fast formulas is desired.
5. Experience with supporting Oracle Cloud/e-business Finance is desired.
6. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration or a closely related field.
7. Oracle Cloud Finance, Oracle e-Business Finance, or other large Finance systems (GL,AP,AR, and procurement), or similar experience with other enterprise software systems particularly Oracle
8. Report writer software (e.g. Oracle BI Publisher, Discoverer, SQL Navigator or TOAD-query software)
9. SQL
10. General business accounting and finance, or other back-office functions
11. Principles and techniques of systems and procedures analysis and design
12. Investigative and analytical procedures
13. Java Spring Batch and Linux scripting is a plus.
14. Communicate effectively orally and in written form
15. Analyze operational and systems problem and produce effective solutions; prepare systems design specifications
16. Research and identify processing needs and changes; organize work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines
17. Interpret and apply complex technical instructions and specifications
18. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, managers, employees, and vendors.
19. Maintain other financial software applications as needed, i.e. Kronos, Hyperion, Khalix/Longview, etc.
