Utilize the analytical skill set and simulation tools to analyze the fluid flow systems and recommendations for design improvements at different stages of product development process.
Support the global engineers across US, EMEA and APAC to drive the day-to-day and the advance CAE analysis (Starccm+ and/or Ansys) related to engine filtration systems and exhaust after treatment systems for local and global developmental projects.
To drive the virtual testing and reducing the physical tests, develop and improve of current best practices of the computational methods to increase simulation accuracy. Comparing the simulation with experimental data (flow benches and analytical tools) and documenting the results and the standard operating procedures.
Conduct model checks and/or creating parametric models with available CAD packages (Uni-Graphics (NX) and/or Pro-e) and perform the sensitivity studies within the simulation and design space.
Use of optimization techniques and tools to develop the fundamental understanding of engineering design and performance targets.
Participate and support the potential product development opportunities on a global level and provide technical expertise towards design solution.
Educational qualifications and Relevant experience
M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or Related engineering Fields
5-8 years of experience working with computational tools such as STAR CCM+
Technical Competence & Skills set
Solid knowledge in the fundamentals of fluid mechanics, computational methods concerning fluid flow and heat transfer
Fundamental know-how on filtration & separation systems (air, fuel and hydraulic) and Exhaust after treatment products such as Selective Catalyst reduction system, Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, Diesel particulate filters and exhaust sensors is preferred
Working simulation knowledge on steady & unsteady fluid flow analysis, Thermal Analysis, fluid – particulate flows, Spray & particle modeling, wall wetting and film modeling
Working Knowledge on the multi-objective optimization techniques is preferred
Experience working with CAD tools such as Uni-Graphics (NX) and/or Pro-e
Proactive towards identifying the issues and solving the problems
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the engineering documents (drawings, engineering specifications).
Ability to respond timely & effectively to the critical inquiries / technical issues or complaints.
Ability to make effective presentations on regular updates & critical issues to global team
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of global personnel
Ability to work flexible hours
