Our Opportunity:
The mobile technology team is responsible for designing, building, supporting and innoving client-facing native mobile apps for Charles Schwab. The mobile team has traditionally been a key partner working with product teams to deliver excellent client experience to the millions of Schwab users. As a member of the mobile team you will work in one or more product channels to build mobile apps that meet and exceed client’s needs, work closely with product teams to pair your mobile technology knowledge with product knowledge to create creative and innovative solution that thrill customers and disrupt competitors. It’s an opportunity to both learn and bring your own expeireces to help improve Schwab’s mobile technology and practices. What you’ll do:

+ Lead and develop a team of high performing software engineers working on cutting edge technology in a new and rapidly growing FinTech market segment
+ Lead the design and development of the next generation of mobile solutions for Schwab Clients and Advisors
+ Work closely with product owners to create mobile products that "wow" users
+ Lead and be part of a team that’s passionate about building apps that are secure and delightful to use
+ Lead the construction, enhancement and troubleshooting of mobile apps
+ Implement complex new features and functionality, as well as entire applications end-to-end
+ Work closely with developers and designers to create beautiful, functional solutions
+ Drive continuous integration and deployment strategies leveraging tools like Bamboo with a DevOps philosophy
+ Be a champion of new ways of collaborating with technology and business partners
+ Search out and evangelize new and emerging technologies including open source tools
+ Ensure the highest quality software is developed, delivered and maintained
+ Be a key leader in the agile process fostering collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and transparency
+ Mentor and facilitate the mentorship of junior members of the team
What you have:
General

+ Excellent written/verbal communication skills
+ Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
+ 5+ years of enterprise software application development experience, with project management, people management
+ 3+ years of experience running medium to large complex projects with multiple dependencies
+ Proven track record with continuous value delivery in an enterprise environment
+ Self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
+ Strong knowledge of the financial industry
Leadership

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, guide, coach and grow exceptional technology teams
+ A visible leader that yearns for developing and motivating next generation technology leaders
+ Ability to communicate well with teams and leaders of the organization; have good listening skills, ask great questions and give feedback
+ Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
Management

+ Experience successfully driving technology change initiatives in an organization.
+ Experience hiring exceptional technology staff
+ Ability to coach, manage and grow staff
+ Ability to manage budgets
+ Experience in planning, implementation and support of business application components.
Technical

+ An expert understanding of at least one mobile technology (iOS or android) - required
+ Extensive experience developing complex mobile applications in an enterprise environment
+ Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail and the ability to design, execute and maintain strategic goals and metrics
+ Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values and procedures
+ Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and DevOps principles
+ Understanding of BDD and TDD styles
+ Exceptional OO design and development skills. A strong understanding of software patterns and anti-patterns
+ Experience with enterprise level branching/merging
+ Understand mobile performance, latency, and security issues with extensive experience using performance analysis tools
+ Knowledgeable of security best practices for mobile application development/integration
+ Curiosity to understand and leverage new tools and technologies
