Purpose of the Role
This role is extremely important supporting a scientific research and development stockroom stores facility, as part of the Facilities and Stores Team in supporting multiple business locations, ensuring the supporting stores, deliveries and stockrooms run efficiently. This requires a huge amount of organisation as a numerous range of goods are stocked in the stock rooms and supplied to support various scientific business operations. You must be able to lead and support the store facilities to exceed by driving the stockroom team to ensure deliveries are processed quickly.
Main responsibilities
+ Maintaining, reviewing and adjusting stock levels to meet business requirements.
+ Manage deliveries effectively and prioritise issuing deliveries to internal stakeholders.
+ Operate the company van to make deliveries and collections to RSSL sites.
+ Check delivery notes and match these with the relevant purchase orders.
+ Goods receiving and stock issuing on the SAP system and maintain accurate records of all stock.
+ Assisting the Facilities Manager that waste generated, routine and non-routine, from all RSSL sites is disposed of in accordance with national and local legislation in a cost effective way.
+ Stock audits are completed in a timely manner and findings are reported.
+ Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issues; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
+ Confident in providing training around Stores Facilities Processes to new starters.
Qualifications
Candidate requirements
+ Educated or willingness to study IoSCM (Institute of Supply Chain Management) Level 2.
+ Extensive knowledge in using SAP Business 1.
+ Experienced in stores management of complex operations and multi-sites.
+ Experienced in handling stores and large volumes of packages / transactions.
+ Clean Driving License.
+ Intermediate level for MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
+ Member of the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IoSCM) preferred.
+ Fluent in English
