The Role

This role will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at the CISO and CIO level, as well as with technical staff within the security and messaging organization. This individual will also work well with their team of sales engineers, as well as with partners and leverage the power of corporate resources within their account base.

Responsibilities include the ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint.

The successful candidate will be extremely results oriented, possess a strong business acumen, combined with a proven ability to build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close business with strong interpersonal and presentational skills.

Your day-to-day

  • Based in Sydney, you will focus on hunting and developing new Proofpoint accounts in the Enterprise Sector in your designated territory.  You will also nurture and sell additional products and services to your existing customer accounts
  • Ability to establish strong business relationships at the executive (CISO, CIO) level, advanced solution selling capabilities, conducting portfolio presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business for Proofpoint.
  • Convert prospects into sales by differentiating from the competition
  • Work with System Engineers and Product Specialists to prepare account strategies and plans
  • Partner with Marketing and the channel to gain access into new accounts
  • Strong operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy, SFDC pipeline development, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint’s competitive positioning in the marketplace
  • Penetrate net new accounts and expand Proofpoint presence within existing customers through proactive account management, QBR’s and ensuring the value of Proofpoint’s broader portfolio is understood.

What you bring to the team

  • We are looking for an enterprise sales professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a field sales role selling to large enterprise organizations.
  • Must have a proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals: 100%+ Quota Attainment and Presidents Club attendance across multiple years/roles
  • Experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology products strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value.
  • Great sales people are organized, detail and process oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues.
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM tools strongly preferred
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
