About the role

This role will mainly work on a global search engine brand, accountable for client’s China market media planning and activation. At the same time, work closely with Essence APAC team on other potential business opportunities.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Complete understanding of team responsibilities, areas of focus and knowledge of the client & digital media.
  • Adapt Essence way of working and develop a data-driven mindset.

In six months:

  • You will become confident in your capabilities and Lead internal meetings with other departments and call on agency resources to strengthen ideas.

In 12 months:

  • Develop and build strong working relationships with internal teams and manage vendor relationships.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Assist the Associate Director/Director in creating media plans, strategically and efficiently.
  • Assist the Associate Director/Director in setting overall direction for program planning and negotiating strategies.
  • Develop and build strong working relationships with internal teams and manage vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for mentoring, training, and team building.
  • Oversee plan negotiations and media team activities.
  • Oversee the quality of work that gets delivered to the client.
  • Maintain status reports to ensure efficient workflow in order to meet deadlines and write reports of key meetings.
  • Lead internal meetings with other departments and call on agency resources to strengthen ideas.
  • Talent development by managing planners and be responsible for their delivery & quality of work.
  • Client liaison and relationship development.

A bit about yourself: 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in media planning of China market with digital focus
  • Excellent in written and oral English
  • Excellent presentation skill, good at presenting data in a visually engaging and insightful manner
  • Proactively think about how to upgrade the work and always eager to learn
  • Experience managing a team and ability to delegate effectively
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Established and professional communication skills
