This role will focus on one of the biggest growth trends in our marketplace today: eCommerce. The role will report to the Sr. Director Of Sales Strategy & Planning, and will own the strategy development and executional leadership of PBC performance in all online channels. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to drive both short and long term success for our customers & PBC.
Short term success is measured by on plan performance and operational execution.
Long term success is measured by the creation of a 2-5 year strategic framework , in addition to the development of learning agenda for the organization.
This Leader will leverage cross functional expertise within PepsiCo Canada (PFC, PBC) and will be accountable for integrated solutions to drive profitable revenue. Furthermore, this person will lead an eCommerce Steering Committee, utilizing this group for thought leadership, strategy guidance and alignment. Influential leadership that inspires commitment from others towards the strategic vision will be instrumental in this role. The role must prepare and conduct periodic business reviews to demonstrate progress with senior leaders against all critical work streams, including post game assessments of all key executional elements.
Develop working relationships with the Global eComm Team
Build eComm Strategic Plan and gain SR Leadership alignment
Lead development of eComm infrastructure to support sales in all digital channels
Influence and lead Retail Sales Team on selling and implementing program concepts
Define relevant and scalable innovation pipeline, and lead commercialization of all online items
Develop strategy for new business in eCommerce – white space
Create and deliver capability agenda for cross functional team and key stakeholders
Develop reporting and analytic tools to support understanding eCom channel (both egrocery and direct to home)
Keys To Success:
Working closely with Global PepsiCo team to lift and adapt initiatives for eComm Canada
Effectively managing complex work streams
Preempting urgent issues by aligning and communicating key activities and milestones
Building out proof of concept pilots to prepare organization for further expansion
Analyzing business trends and develop new strategies as needed
Influencing the agenda outside of his/her core function to lobby internally for key enablers to facilitate growth (new product, supply chain, marketing support etc)
Customer Support - Connect weekly with Customer Teams regarding eCommerce business
Attend & support key Customer meetings with thought leadership & eComm insights. Provide regular updates and education on what is happening with broader eCommerce channels.
Key Skills / Experiences Required:
8 years Tier 1 CPG experience
2 years leadership in digital/online space developing scalable insights into market plans and a deep understanding of shopper levers including search, content
Ability to work in dynamic environment and establish new path and processes
Proven success gaining cross-functional alignment to drive project/program support.
Experience with the development of strategic business plan, annual operating plan tools and execution tactics, channel strategy development
Ability to connect from frontline to board room executives
Solid project/time management capabilities and multi-tasking skillsets required
Strong leadership, communication, innovation, analytical and management skills to understand market performance and identify opportunities and map action plans
Superior collaboration skills demonstrating the ability to successfully navigate within matrix organization
