Georgiou is seeking to appoint an experienced Supervisor to join our growing project based civil construction business. Working closely with the other supervisors and Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to manage a crew in either earthworks, concrete, structural, sewerage, drainage or underground services work. You will be responsible for ensuring the days planned operational activities are completed in a safe and timely manner.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate experience and competence in;

  • Monitoring a part of a project to ensure your section or package of work delivered on time and budget, within quality standards
  • Supervising a work team to deliver project outcomes
  • Managing a section of the construction program on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Identifies and assists with the acquisition of resources ensuring adequate supplies, labour hire, etc, are available for the project
  • Carrying out daily safety checks
  • Assisting the project management team with the development and implementation of process improvements which add value to the operations
  • Ensures worksites are in a state consistent with safety and health standards
  • Ensures the implementation and adherence of management plans, procedures and policies
  • Attending all investigations of accidents and incidents within the area of responsibility
  • Conducting and participating in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, inductions and other health and safety requirements)
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to team members

To be successful in this role you must have at least 5 years'' experience managing a work crew on similar projects. You must be able to show competence in planning projects and recording progress.
