Clarity Life Science has a new pharmaceutical job in a top 20 global pharmaceutical company with an ever-growing drug portfolio that is looking to recruit a supply chain director to a new Biologics facility. The role entails providing leadership and direction in the development of the supply chain function at an expanding site that covers multiple manufacturing technologies including bulk API production, high potent API, finished product and packaging, and biologics
What will be your responsibilities:
Take charge of logistics, warehousing, procurement of production materials and consumables, production planning and artwork including establishment, execution and reporting of departmental systems, goals, priorities, schedules, risk analysis, capacities, budgets, metrics and timelines
Lead and direct development and execution of Supply chain management functions
Initiate and facilitate cross-functional meeting necessary to achieve goals
Drive the execution of the Sales and Operations Planning process. Local processes include procurement, materials requirements planning including MRP, inventory management, supplier relationships, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), product shipments and (Scrap).
Define and recommend important objective in all areas of operation
Define and recommend key objectives in each area of operation. Deliver results in supply chain operational metrics by assessing critical activities and identifying actions that will sustain or enhance performance, together with supporting budget requests and justification.
Prioritize continuous improvement of quality, safety, reliability and identify ‘best practices’/new technologies/innovations in conjunction with internal/external supply chain stakeholders (manufacturing, quality, logistics, planning, procurement, finance, IT, etc.)
Recommendations to improve flows, processes and contingency plans to optimize the speed and efficiency of the supply chain whilst increasing robustness and decreasing costs
Formulate and track plants to address issues, opportunities and associated CAPA
Maintain and assist qualified personnel aiding with career planning and development
Implementation of the Operational Excellence program via the encouragement of the staff
Prepare Supply Chain Department for Regulatory Inspections - primarily by the FDA/HPRA.
Foster along with other staff an ethos of safety awareness whilst ensuring accident reports/near miss forms are completed in a timely manner after an event
Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training, and assessment.
What you ideally have:
Business/supply chain or equivalent degree
Experience within demand and supply chain roles in the pharmaceutical industry
SME Knowledge in SAP or an equivalent ERP system is required
Strong presentation and data analysis skills
10+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Strong multi-tasking/organizational skills
Experience in establishing robust on-site supply chain function
