Responsible for setting up the supply chain of new opto-mechanical designs. This includes sourcing of early prototype parts and selection of suppliers for volume manufacturing
In charge of initial supplier audits during the selection process, as well as regular follow up audits of established suppliers.
Negotiate purchase agreement contracts with key suppliers. This includes but is not limited to conditions related to pricing, lead times, payment terms, warranty etc.
Take the lead in cost reduction programs related to second sourcing, value engineering, outsourcing etc.
Represent supply chain in the PLC teams of major new designs. PLC stands for Product Life Cycle and involves the different stages from concept to released product and end of life.
Work close together with the materials teams based in our Asian production sites.
Manage a small team of materials handling resources supporting the engineering teams based in Belgium.
Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields with experience in supply chain
Strong contract- and business terms negotiation skills
Understanding of optical, mechanical, electrical components involved in the design and development of optical-based, semiconductor inspection equipment or equivalent
Experience with supply chain modules of SAP is a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, project management and interpersonal skills
Self-driven with a keen analytical mind, an eye for detail, a positive attitude, yet a strong team player with leadership skills respecting opinions of others while driving for results and continuous improvement
Fluent in English (both verbal and written) is a must
Occasional travel to suppliers and production facilities around the world
