Job Description

Position Summary

The Associate Director Global IT Supply Chain Management will act as the IT BP for the Supply Chain Supply & Planning for all clinical & commercial functions including New Product Introduction functions globally. In this role, the Associate Director will partner with the key stakeholders to identify capabilities needed to meet functional objectives, provide significant input on the prioritization of initiatives, execute on agreed up-on initiatives and drive benefit realization associated with the initiatives. The incumbent will have previously contributed to Supply Chain roadmaps demonstrating an exceptional aptitude for selecting and developing the right solutions, technology, and people. This individual will appreciate the fine points of managing a diverse business portfolio of systems with an ERP core. Equally critical to success is the ability to build strategic relationships across the Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Quality and IT functions seeking ways to support their objectives while pursuing the corporate needs for standardization, security, innovation and efficiency.
 

The ideal candidate for Associate Director Global IT Supply Chain Management will be a seasoned IT Leader and will possess thorough understanding of the Strategic Planning functions, MRP, Finite Scheduling, Rough-Cut Capacity Planning. Preference will be given to candidates with the following background :

Worked as global process owner for Supply Chain/Planning functions driving system-enabled process improvement and/ or transformation programs 

In this newly created position, the Associate Director of Global IT Supply Chain will leverage proven Supply Chain experience combined with manufacturing operations experience to work as the bridge between Global ERP teams/Global Manufacturing Operations teams/Global Logistics Teams.  This position has ownership of all Supply Chain IT initiatives and their impact on the business, working to ensure current and future systems support business requirements.

The Associate Director will exhibit leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and is expected to develop and maintain technical knowledge in their respective area(s) of expertise, and provide guidance to their IT colleagues. Successful performance requires advanced technical knowledge in their own field, knowledge in a variety of other areas including new products, processes, systems and facilities, and imaginative and innovative approaches to new and diverse problems. 

Principal Responsibilities

Business Partnership and Development

  • Play a proactive role in proposing strategic technologies, tools & approaches; may have been or worked closely with Solution Architects or Technical Leads or a Head of Technology in previous / current roles.
  • You will ideally have worked in a consulting background, knowing the challenges of working for clients and playing a leading role in a team delivering on software delivery projects.
  • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide efficiency improvements, and better user experiences.
  • Drive end to end Delivery Management covering the full project initiation and life cycle (SDLC) : lead management, qualification for bid/financing, staffing, client management, delivery/execution and governance
  • Be accountable for solution provided, that will include delivery, detailed financial, sourcing, development and business perspectives.
  • Investigate complex issues of Supply Chain Demand & Supply Management, run root cause analysis, establish a solution and push it through required steps necessary in order to support business deliverables.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplined teams of project managers, product owners, architects, engineers and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives.
  • Identify and manage engagement risks and flag major issues early.
  • Be lead communicator for project teams, communicating to business stakeholders and IT colleagues on the goals, benefits and progress of initiatives.
  • Champion the building of a Super (key) User framework with the business to build capabilities to provide L1 (local) Support

Leadership

  • Liaise with senior business and IT leaders to build and gain consensus for a multi-year implementation road map for Global Supply Chain Processes/Systems. Ensure appropriate escalation through Governance structure and subsequent resolution for unforeseen demand that could majorly impact agreed upon implementation plan (ongoing/upcoming projects).
  • Support & drive core strategic objectives for both the IT and Business Organizations.
  • Ensure appropriate IT cross functional involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.
  • Lead & drive integrated (both IT and Business) teams to deliver solid technology solutions in support of key client initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of customer proposals and statements of work
  • Manage high-level client expectations and relationships, looking for opportunities to up/cross-deliver products and services through relationship management.
  • Support the business to maximize utilization of current implemented business solutions.
  • Participation in key global IT projects to ensure the Global Operations Group are represented
  • Educate end-users on SAP or other applications capability to maximize use and efficiency
  • Coordinate with the various resources to ensure a timely implementation. Delivering progress report to the Business Unit and IT management teams.
  • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards across the IT Organisation

Qualifications

  • At least five year’s SAP PP-PI/MM & Strategic Planning implementation / configuration experience.
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge especially in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Warehouse Management.
  • Experience working as a data analyst in a digital environment.
  • Deep understanding of Supply Chain Systems integration.
  • A strong working knowledge of supply chain planning and techniques
  • Excellent management and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset and experience with supporting a manufacturing operations environment
  • Ability to act decisively in an uncertain environment
