Job Description

Purpose of Supply Chain Planner (SCP) Role

  • The SCP is responsible for the timely and efficient management of the end to end Sales & Operations Planning process, including: coordinate and schedule of Pre-S&OP meetings, document Pre-S&OP minutes, coordinate and schedule of S&OP meetings, develop the S&OP Pack, and distribute S&OP meeting minutes
  • The SCP will be responsible for managing the direct purchasing interface with suppliers for the business or project assigned and ensures the most effective and efficient execution of purchasing transactions to cost, quality and delivery requirements, including Supply Chain Management
  • The SCP will promote teamwork and cooperation with interacting departments to drive continuous improvement and KPI achievements in support of business goals
  • The SCP is responsible to ensure the item master will be a single source of truth from which all other supply information systems/reports are populated. The item master must list all products and services that Invacare purchases because this function is key in enabling logistics (track and trace), strategic sourcing initiates and spend analytics
  • The SCP will work with the Inventory Controller to maintain appropriate inventory levels consistent with targeted inventory goals and as set by the Supply Chain Manager


Required Skills

Invacare New Zealand is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planner for our busy Supply Chain team in our Mount Wellington office. This Supply Chain Planner role will be responsible for the timely and efficient management of your end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning process for your portfolio of products and suppliers.

Responsibilities for this role include -

  • Managing your forecast; including appropriate stock profiles, inventory levels and turns.
  • Facilitating your Sales and Operations Planning process with sales, analysing and validating demand and creating cost effective supply plans.
  • Timely replenishment of stock
  • Vendor management and collaborative forecasting

You will thrive in this role if you will have/be

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a Supply Chain environment
  • Involvement in Sales & Operations Planning, including forecasting a diverse range of products
  • Proven experience in dealing with Global sourcing, procurement and logistics
  • Professional qualification in either Supply chain or logistics
  • Competent in ERP tools ideally Oracle or SAPExtremely computer literate with strong Microsoft Office skillsStrong negotiation and analytical skillsCustomer Focused - meeting agreed customer requirements as critical with a sense of urgency
