Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence

The role
The Supply Chain Automation Analyst will work in the Center of Excellence within EMEA. You will be responsible to drive automation processes and therefore optimizing workflows, improve efficiency and add value to the Supply Chain of Eastman. To effectively accomplish this, the Automation Analyst must prioritize efforts in their territory, create and maintain good working relationships with subject matter experts to uncover unmet needs. Via discovery sessions with stakeholders you will be working in a fast paced and fast changing environment to form the automation process. You will do so together with external automation consultants from Ernst & Young. You will be the center point of contact between the internal Eastman organization and the external consultants for EMEA. As a person you should be eager to learn new things, practice self-development & promote learning in others by providing information, resources and expertise with coworkers. You will influence others through technical explanations and expertise and providing feedback to stakeholders to drive a continuous improvement attitude.

Reporting to the Manager, Analytics and Automation, the Supply Chain Automation Analyst fulfills a key role in the digitalization/automation of Eastman EMEA.

The responsibilities
+ Leverage analytical abilities to derive high value datasets and insights centered around operational efficiencies, cost optimization and supply chain practices
+ Generate and maintain an Automation funnel with ideas
+ Cultivate a network of relationships across the value chain and within the customer organization beyond Supply Chain (e.g., Operations, Senior Leadership, Center of Excellence, etc.) to develop new ideas
+ Proactively develop and document appropriate level of automation plans for active projects
+ Develop strong relationships with industry partners and become a go-to analyst on all relevant projects
+ Collaborate with internal/external resources to ensure opportunities are provided with the required resources to ensure timely funnel movement
+ Develop digital insights and identifies improvement opportunities via subject matter experts and collaboration with internal / external partners
+ Conduct data-based analysis and prioritize efforts to maximize performance
Your background & qualifications
+ Bachelor or Master of Supply Chain, Business or Computer Science
+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience within an automation analyst role or 4 years’ similar quantitative area and a demonstrated ability to develop valuable insights that drive change or action
+ Knowledge of machine learning capabilities with respect to “real world” problems
+ Programming or database querying skills a plus
+ Experience managing deadlines and expectations in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
+ You are fluent in English; the knowledge of other European languages (such as German, Spanish, Italian or Eastern European) is an asset.
