Your team
The Hardware Support team is part of the Hardware organization who is responsible for the company hardware activities; from qualification to prototype and rack level design, from tool development to hardware support.
The Hardware Support team is responsible for supporting all hardware server assets in production during their respective life cycle. The team interacts with all internal teams and does not interact directly with the end customer (not a customer facing team). This includes a lot of respective activities and implies to work and interact with a lot of people internally.
 
The installed base is composed of 10s thousands of servers and is growing fast and the team is aiming at growing accordingly.
 
 
Your mission
The mission of the Hardware Support Manager and his team is to to secure a high level of availability and quality for the servers in production
And of course : as Hardware Support Manager, your mission will be to manage, coordinate and enhance the team's work and workflows. In a technical environment, you will have to make sure that the team is proficient, focusing on the priorities as defined with the Hardware VP and according to the organization and company strategy. 
 
Main tasks and activity
* Manage the team, 
* Organize, prioritize and maintain the team tasks based on priorities,
* Document the operational processes for the team,
* Technical follow up with the manufacturers/suppliers (RMA, FW updates, …),
* Define the team deliverables and the KPIs and perform their continuous tracking and reporting,
* Consider the human and individual wellness of each team member,
* Communicate the organization and company strategy and priorities to the team,
* Communicate with the product teams,
* Track the team performance and implement corrective action plans if needed plus communicate on results
* Always look out for improving the quality and related processes, in coordination with the Hardware VP.

Profil recherché

Who you are and what you know
* You are passionate about cloud computing, hosting, hardware or datacenters,
* Experienced, and willing to mentor technical profiles,
* Team manager or leader background, in a Service/Support environment,
* Communication/Synthesis/Reporting/Documentation: you are experienced with high level reporting, you do know which piece of information is important,
* Capacity to anticipate and to think beyond,
* Good knowledge of the computer hardware (servers & servers parts, network equipment),
* Good understanding of server administration (including firmware, UEFI, BMC, PXE, …),
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills,
* Team spirit and leadership,
* Curious, meticulous and methodical
* Good spoken and written English,
 
What could be useful
* Experience operating large-scale systems, distributed, business-critical systems,
* JIRA, Redash, SQL experience,
* Datacenter environment knowledge (power & cooling),
* Cloud and/or Cloud infrastructures knowledge is not mandatory, still, it is a plus
